Late Summer Ramble

Post date: May 27, 2016 10:46:20 AM

Hi all, I have decided to base this year’s Ramble around the village of Ilmington. Thanks to Barry Riley for the route from his very good website (www.brilwalks.com).

The route will start and finish in the village of Ilmington at 1 of the 2 pubs there and this is where I need your guidance.

Both pubs server food and look very nice, so I will leave it up to those that are coming to choose which one they would like to retire to at the end of the walk (dining is not compulsory, but going by last year most people chose to):

• The Howard Arms – www.howardarms.com or

• The Red Lion – www.theredlionilmington.co.uk.

Both Menus are attached for your perusal, please let me know which is your favoured watering hole. I envisage that they would both require pre-orders, so once a majority decision has been reached I will be asking for menu choices.

The date of the walk is Sunday 4th September

The walk will start at approx. 10am and should take between 2-3 hours, depending on any unintended diversions!

It is about 30 mins drive from Warwick. (http://tinyurl.com/gsvsyk7)

Look forward to seeing you there.
