2020 Spring Social - Skittles Night

posted 2 Mar 2020, 04:54 by David Williams   [ updated 2 Mar 2020, 04:57 ]

Bore da everyone (not quite St David's day, but close enough!).
I hope you have all survived the recent storms and are almost ready to venture out onto the courts again.
In preparation for this I would like to invite you all to an evening of Skittles, food and merriment!

This year we have managed to book Snitterfield Sports Club, which has a function room and includes a Skittle Alley!
The cost of Hire, which includes a meal of Lasagne, Garlic Bread and Salad, is £8 a head.
The date is Sunday 5th April, looking to meet up around 7pm.
It would be great if we could see as many of you as possible, as it is always a good laugh.
Please let me know if you can make it, so I can get an idea of numbers.

Post- Xmas Meal

posted 11 Dec 2017, 09:56 by David Williams

Hi all, hope you are all set for Xmas and are enjoying the lovely winter weather we are having!! 😳❄😳

As discussed at the recent Tennis AGM, the date for the traditional post-Xmas meal has been chosen as Saturday 27th January.

The chosen venue is the Indian Edge in Kenilworth. http://www.indian-edge.co.uk/

www.indian-edge.co.uk
Indian Edge, in Kenilworth's main high street, is a Contemporary Pan-Asian Cuisine Restaurant and Indian Takeaway. We have an excellent reputation for high quality ...

Can everyone let me asap if they wish to attend so that I can book a table?

Look forward to hearing from you all.

Kind Regards

David Williams

Late Summer Ramble

posted 27 May 2016, 03:46 by David Williams   [ updated 1 Jun 2016, 03:12 ]

Hi all, I have decided to base this year’s Ramble around the village of Ilmington. Thanks to Barry Riley for the route from his very good website (www.brilwalks.com).
The route will start and finish in the village of Ilmington at 1 of the 2 pubs there and this is where I need your guidance.
Both pubs server food and look very nice, so I will leave it up to those that are coming to choose which one they would like to retire to at the end of the walk (dining is not compulsory, but going by last year most people chose to):
• The Howard Arms – www.howardarms.com or
• The Red Lion – www.theredlionilmington.co.uk.
Both Menus are attached for your perusal, please let me know which is your favoured watering hole. I envisage that they would both require pre-orders, so once a majority decision has been reached I will be asking for menu choices.
The date of the walk is Sunday 4th September
The walk will start at approx. 10am and should take between 2-3 hours, depending on any unintended diversions!
It is about 30 mins drive from Warwick. (http://tinyurl.com/gsvsyk7)
Look forward to seeing you there.
